Global community
The IAF is a global association that operates in six regions. Within each region, there may be one or more IAF chapters. In addition, IAF special interest groups focus on specific topics of interest for facilitators across regions. See more below.
IAF Regions and chapters
Each IAF region is led by a regional director who provides leadership and coordinates activities. Within these regions, chapters are formed at the national or local level to give members more opportunities to connect and develop professionally. Chapters are created through a request to the IAF Board, guided by the regional director’s recommendation, and are expected to follow IAF governance standards to ensure accountability.

IAF Special interest groups (SIGs)
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) enable like-minded facilitators to network, create, and share knowledge around a specific facilitation-related interest area. IAF hosts these communities to foster the creation of strong global networks.
